Dottie Rambo Tribute Coming Soon.....

On May 11, 2008 the world lost the greatest Gospel Music singer/songwriter that the world has known in a tragic tour bus crash. Dottie Rambo was the composer of over 2,500 songs and the reigning Queen of Gospel Music. Dottie's manager, Larry Ferguson along with her product manager, Chris Barnes survived the tour bus crash but suffered injuries that left them permanently wounded. Both Ferguson and Barnes wanted to create a special tribute to show their love and respect for the woman who was so dear to their heart. The consists of 19 songs from Dottie's pen and over 30 incredible artists.

"Dottie Rambo was my second Mom and there can never be too many tributes or accolades bestowed upon her. This album was great healing and I felt Dottie with us the entire time. Many of the artists on the project were on a "wish list" that Dottie had shared with me of artists she always hoped would record her songs. We have enlisted members of the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, Country Music Hall of Fame, Broadway, Bluegrass Royalty, as well as Southern Gospel, Contemporary Christian, and traditional black Gospel. Dottie's writing reached well beyond any one genre and with this tribute we wanted to showcase just how much her music impacted artists from all walks of music. If this doesn't light your fire, your kindling is wet!" says Ferguson.

Mamie Van Doren goes Country!

You read the title right folks! Mamie Van Doren has gone country. Whether you remember her by her over 40 feature films, her classic tight sweaters and poney tails, or as one of the "Three M's" Marilyn, Mansfield and Mamie, you are going to excited to hear about her latest project.

Mamie is no stranger to music. She has recorded numerous albums over the years and sang many soundtracks for her feature films. In an age that Rock-N-Roll was just being birthed, Mamie was starring in a film singing the first rock-n-roll music in a motion picture and said "Let's Do It!"

Sharing with me that her childhood was filled her father's fiddle playing and singing country music both inside the family and also taking his fiddle to church where they country up the church service gospel tunes. This type of music was carried tightly and strongly within her heart for years until she and I got together and said Lets Do it.

The album "Still A Troublemaker" features some incredible original songs. One song which is an autobiographical tune of Mamie's life, another I Have a Heart continues that deep personal feelings of Mamie, while Troublemaker takes those beautiful blonde locks to test. Mamie releases the Cowgirl in her with Cowgirl High a fun rocking cowgirl dance tune. These 4 fine pieces were originals for Mamie.

Mamie also took a song that Deborah Allen pitched her "Vibrate" and made it her own. Tony Jo White wrote an incredible song "Steamy Windows" that is probably my favorite tune on the CD so far. Some classics paid homage to Nashville Queens like Tammy Wynette's "I'm Not A Candle In The Wind" and Loretta Lynn's once band from radio song "Rated X". The classic Linda Ronstadt tune "Silver Thread and Golden Needles" is going really fiddle it up and get you clapping and stepping. One of the other stand out cuts is a Dolly Parton penned tune "The Best Woman Wins". The song is written as a duet and we're hoping for a special someone to be able to sing it with Mamie but we're not to that process yet.

We are going to go all out with the release. Television, CD signings and concerts. We'll be near you soon.

Warmest Wishes,

Larry Ferguson
